EnUM automatically enables a dynamic power scheme in Windows.

When light task computing is performed, such as light browsing or e-mailing, the dynamic power scheme setting reduces the CPU speed and therefore power consumption. When heavier computing is needed, the power scheme simply increases the CPU speed and power without you ever noticing.

Most modern computers have a dynamic fan control. When light tasks are performed, less cooling is needed, and because EnUM sets a dynamic power scheme, CPU power and heat consumption are lowered, which means your PC’s fan control will reduce your fan speed; resulting in a quieter fan that uses less power.

EnUM adapts to your personal workflow and puts the computer in sleep mode when you are away and automatically wakes it before you return.

EnUM automatically synchronizes with your Outlook calendar, and distinguishes between meetings and other appointments, without you having to do any configuration. When you are in a meeting, EnUM automatically puts your computer in sleep mode and even wakes it before your meeting is over. If the meeting is cancelled EnUM will detect if you are still using your computer and will cancel sleep activation.

EnUM puts your PC in sleep mode when you are away for lunch, but since EnUM is all about automating and making sure you are not bothered, it wakes your computer before your lunch is over. EnUM's detection system makes sure that your computer is not going to sleep mode if your lunch time is changed and you are still using your computer.

Sleep Activation after Work

Computers are often left turned on after the end of a workday. This results in unnecessary power usage. The solution is not a forced shut down, because pending work would then be lost. EnUM lets you set a working time. After the work day, EnUM detects if activity is still present, if not the computer will go to sleep and everything is preserved as it was for the next morning. You can even have it turned on automatically before you arrive to work.
